Hello everyone! My name is Miss Margie Blackwell. I am a modern day spiritual worker, a certified Reiki Master Teacher, herbalist, aromatherapist, conjure woman, and root worker. Most of my life I’ve been an intuitive tarot and oracle card reader and diviner, and I have served clients as a professional reader since 2001. I was born and raised in the Midwest, in the Chicago suburbs, where my Appalachia-born parents taught me how to use roots and herbs in holistic homemade remedies and familiarized me with a wide variety of folkloric and religious beliefs. I’ve attended many classes, and graduated from Miss Cat’s Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course in 2010 and her in-person Apprenticeship program in 2017.
I enjoy wild crafting herbs and roots for my shop. There is something so magical about picking, cleaning, and drying freshly harvested herbs. I truly feel that the little touch of picking my own herbs and using them in spiritual products for my clients gives them more power and intention. Every step is done with intention!
As a reader and rootworker, I handle all kinds of cases, including, Love, Money, Cleansing, Protection, Health, and Court Case work. The only jobs I will not take on for clients are Break-Up work and Curses. Usually after divination, I will suggest a remedy or some kind of spiritual work to alleviate any problems or blockages. This work will be customized to your needs. I strive to be as personal as I can with my clients to ensure accuracy in my spiritual work. I am very intuitive in dealing with addictions. I help guide people in the direction of self empowerment, and make custom jar spells and candles to heal addiction. If you want a personal hand-on cleansing, I will ask you to book a reading first.
At my shop, I dress spiritual candles as well as crafting a homemade line of candles, oils, incense, soaps, sachet powders, sprays and salt-herbal baths. I enjoy all aspects of hoodoo, but overall I love making candles the most. I customize each candle to create the most fitting working just for you by getting to the heart of the situation, dressing the candle with spiritual or essential oils, and adding magically active herbs and roots. I can mail the candle to you, or you can burn it on our altar for an extra charge. At the shop, my colleagues and I offer specialized candle services with petitions, prayers, and positivity, lighting a seven day candle on behalf of you, the client. These services include a reading of the candle glass which i can relay to you over the phone or via email. I also offer discounts on 12 or more candles.
I hand sew mojo bags filled with herbs and roots that are customized according to your situation. I also make custom dolls -- hand sewn and stuffed with herbs, personal concerns, oils, Fixed and Prepared Amulets, Coin Charms, Curios, Seals, and Talismans|charms, and papers to suit your situation.
The majority of my shop's products can be customized, including oil blends, bath salt mixtures, incense mixtures, and sachet powders. You can book a reading, spiritual consultation, root work advice, or spiritual cleansing over the phone or in person.
I personally continue to evolve spiritually and as a shop owner by hosting classes and workshops for new ideas and outlooks. I also teach workshops at festivals like Pagan Pride in Northwest Indiana.
