Long before I became a reader and rootworker, I was a country kid growing up in the woods in eastern Washington state, on a farm on a dirt road. I always wanted to be outside, and I spent hours alone exploring the woods around our house, observing the slow, steady magic of nature. I talked to the trees, birds, plants and flowers and felt a strong connection to these spirits that I couldn't put into words.
But my path to magic had a lot of twists and turns. I was raised and baptized in the Mormon religion, as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church always said that magic wasn't of God, but in that faith I learned about the world of angels and devils as well as the power of prayer and the Bible.
After I left that religion as a teenager, I tried a few different spiritual paths, but none of them felt right. Until I found hoodoo.
Hoodoo gave me the amazing opportunity to combine the two sources of spirituality that I grew up with: Christianity and the natural world. I knew I'd suddenly found where I was always meant to be.
I felt the call to be a rootworker soon after taking the first steps on this journey, and knew I wanted to be the person that folks could rely on when times got tough. I practiced hoodoo for 10 years on my own before taking on clients. During that time I studied hard, listened to my teachers and got my hands dirty, but I also continue to learn more every day.
I have a strong sense of intuition. Often I know what people are truly thinking or even what they're going to say to me before they say it, and I frequently sense the guiding whispers of spirit. My ancestors have appeared to me in dreams and I know they walk beside me. I read playing cards, and their simple yet powerful imagery has helped me get to the crux of many of life's complicated problems.
I treat all my clients with respect, professionalism, empathy and care. I won't pull the wool over your eyes or only tell you what you want to hear. When I give you a reading, my goal is to clearly convey the messages that the spirits are sending, prescribe the right rootwork solution to your problem, and also give you practical, real-world advice to back up that magical work.
